83 WEST MARCH LANE
SUITE 12 May 3 , 1990
STOCKTON,CA 95207
W2] PHONE:(209J 476-1635
MANAGERS WWMIOMULTANTS
Mr. Greg Lyon
San Joaquin County Public Health services
Environmental Health Division
P.O. Sox 2009
1601 East Hazelton Ave.
Stockton, CA 95201
Dear Mr. Lyon,
Please find enclosed the analytical results for the initial
groundwater sample collected from the monitoring well located at
100 W. Valpico Road in Tracy, California. As can be seen by
reviewing these results, no total petroleum hydrocarbon compounds
were detected. The only compounds detected were toluene and xylene
at concentrations of 0. 87 ug/L and 0.97 ug/L respectively. These
concentrates are several orders of magnitude lower than the
published water quality goals of 100 ug/L for toluene (DHS action
level) and 1750 ug/L for xylene (State MCL) .
Therefore, based on these results, the results of the soil samples
collected during the borehole installation in January 1990 and per
our previous conversations, WESTON is requesting that we be allowed
to land applicate the containerized well and boring installation
cuttings and well development water in the open area directly south
of the buildings. Since we will be on-site with a backhoe on
Friday, May 4, 1990, I would like to request that we be provided a
response prior to demobilizing the backhoe.
I appreciate any effort you may be able to make to expedite this
request and should you have any questions regarding this matter,
please do not hesitate to call me.
Sincerely,
ROY F.
