Box 388 • Stockton, CA 95201-0388 <br /> (209) 468-3420 -_ - ;•. <br /> RICHARD KONIG <br /> RICHARD W KONIG INC FEB 2 8 199 ' <br /> 6702 INGLEWOOD AVE <br /> STOCKTON CA 95207 <br /> RE: Chase Chevrolet SITE CODE: 1163457 <br /> 423-N_-Marti.on cIZV N• bhn30pk� <br /> Stockton, CA <br /> San Joaquin County,Public Health Services Environmental Health Division staff was recently present during <br /> a sampling event at the above referenced site.Groundwater samples for laboratory analysis were obtained from <br /> all of the monitoring wells except MW-3 which was not sampled because free product was observed in the well. <br /> Pursuant to California Code of Regulations Title 23 Division 3 Chapter 16 (UST Regulations) Article 5 <br /> Section 2655 the following actions shall be taken by the owner or operator. <br /> (a) Remove free product to the maximum extent practicable; <br /> (b) Conduct the free product removal in a manner that shall minimise the spread of <br /> contamination into previously uncontaminated zones; <br /> (c) Use abatement of free product migration as a minimum objective for the design of the free <br /> product removal system; <br /> (d) Handle any flammable products in a safe manner consistent with state and local requirements. <br /> In addition,pursuant to UST Regulations Article 5 Section 2652 (e),a free product removal report prepared <br /> in compliance with section 2655 (e) shall be submitted to the local agency within 45 calendar days of release <br /> confirmation.
