INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK <br /> In accordance with a request from Mr Je#iFiey Setness of Hartmann & Setness, Advanced <br />' GeoEnvironrnental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this Corrective Action Plan (CAP) for 424 North Van <br /> Buren Street, Stockton, California The location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1 - Location Map <br /> The layout of existing structures and the locations of monitoring wells are illustrated in Figure 2 - <br />' Vicinity Map <br /> The scope of work was to evaluate the feasibility and cost aspect of several remedial action <br />' alternatives for hydrocarbon-impacted soil and ground water at the site The CAP was prepared in <br /> accordance with guidelines established by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br /> Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control <br />' Board (CVRWQCB) for investigation of underground storage tank (US f) sites <br /> 20 BACKGROUND <br />' 21 SITE LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION <br /> The site occupies the city block bounded by West Fremont Street, North Van Buren Street West <br /> Lindsay Street and North Monroe Street Prior to 1994, the site was used as a facility for Chase <br /> Chevrolet, a car dealership Two buildings are located on the site (Figure 2 - Vicinity Map) An <br /> automotive painting facility currently occupies the larger building on the southern third of the <br />' property <br /> 22 REMOVAL OF UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANKS <br /> In 1986, one 1,000-gallon underground storage tank (UST), UST No 7, was removed by Falcon <br />! Energy Associates (FEA) from an excavation north of the small building Hydrocarbon-impacted <br /> soil was encountered beneath the UST during removal Due to the presence of high concentrations <br /> of hydrocarbons and the shallow depth to ground water, further assessment investigation was <br /> required <br /> I <br />
