1
15 November 1996
AGE-NC Project No 95-0143
' of-custody forms are included in Appendix B
4 0 CONCLUSIONS & RECOMMENDATIONS
41 CONCLUSIONS
1 Based upon data collected from the site, AGE has the following conclusions
• Petroleum hydrocarbons were not detected in wells MW-10, MW-14, MW-15 and MW-1b,
and only traces of MTBE were detected in MW-17, thereby defining the maximum
horizontal extent of impacted ground water
' • The dissolved hydrocarbon plume extends at least 200 feet north of the foirner UST area
' 0 A thin layer of free product was present in MW-3 during the May monitoring, but was not
encountered during the August monitoring, however, ground water may have risen above the
screened interval in MW-3, preventing the detection of free product Removal of free
product, when present, should continue at the site
• Hydrocarbon concentrations decreased in MW-9 during the last two quarters, however,
concentrations increased in MW-6 during the same time frame
42 RECOMMENDATIONS
' Based upon data collected during the May and August 1996 sampling events,AGE has the following
recommendations
• A Corrective Action Plan (CAP) is currently being prepared for the subject site Remedial
options should be revielved and a Remedial Action Work Plan prepared
• The next quarterly monitoring at the site will be scheduled for November 1996, concurrent
with monitoring at the Madison site
5 0.
