I
' 07 February 2000
AGE-NC Project No 95-0143
' Page 4of5
' in order to achieve even minimal flow from these wells Organic vapor was measured at
concentrations as high as 1,329 ppm In the extracted air stream (VW5)
' Due to the limited operational period during the current quarter, calculations for the mass of gasoline
removed are not included In this report However, preliminary calculations indicate a removal rate
of approximately 5 6 gallons of gasoline per day Calculations for the total mass of hydrocarbons
' removed will be included in the quarterly report for February 2000
' 4.0. SUMMARY/CONCLUSIONS
Based upon data collected from the site, AGE concludes
' Ground water elevation decreased approximately one foot between August and November
1999 The inferred ground water flow direction remains towards the north to northeast at the
' site
• Petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations increased in MW-3 and MW-6, remaining within
. historic concentrations Hydrocarbon concentrations decreased in wells MW-7 and MW-9
Hydrocarbon were not detected in samples collected from wells MW-10, MW-14, MW-15,
MW-16 and MW-17 Measurable free product was not encountered during the November
1999 monitoring event
• Operation of the SVE and IAS units was initiated on 03 November 1999 The SVE units
extracts approximately 278 cfm with an LEL of 5 to 6 percent The sparging system supplies
approximately 20 cfh of air to each sparging well
' 5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
' Based upon data collected during the August 1999 and previous sampling events,AGE recommends
• Continued quarterly monitoring of the monitoring well system on the site The next quarterly
monitoring will be scheduled for February 2000, concurrent with monitoring at the Madison
site
• Continued operation and monitonng of the SVE and IAS systems at the site
i
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
