1
' 05 October 1999
AGE-NC I Project No 95-0143
' 0 Ground water elevation decreased an average of 0 5 feet between May and August 1999 The
Inferred ground water flow direction remains towards the north to northeast at the site
' 0 Measurable free product was not encountered during the August 1999 monitoring event
However, what appeared to be free product was encountered during the drilling of VW5 and
S W21 in April 1999
' 0 Petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations decreased in MW-6 to below detection limits
Hydrocarbon concentrations fluctuated in the remaining wells, increasing in MW-3, MW-7,
' MW-9 and MW-10 and decreasing in MW-14, MW-15, MW-16 and MW-17
• The SVE and IAS units and: associated piping have been installed at the site Operation is
' currently delayed due to a leak in the previously existing natural gas line Start-up of the
SVE and IAS units will begin upon repair of the gas line
'
50. RECOMMENDATIONS
lie Based upon data collected during the August 1999 and previous sampling events, AGE recommends
continued quarterly monitoring of the monitoring well system on the site The next quarterly
monitoring will be scheduled for November 1999, concurrent with monitoring at the Madison site
Installation of the remediation system is nearly complete Operation will commence upon repair of
' the natural gas line
6 0. LIMITATIONS
Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities The findings were based mainly
upon analytical results provided by an independent laboratory Evaluations of the soil and ground
water conditions at the site have been made from a limited number of available data points (i e
ground water monitoring well samples and ground water measurements), and subsurface conditions
may vary through time and with distance from these data points No other warranty, expressed or
Iimplied, is made as to the professional recommendations contained in this report
Adianced GeoEn-,jronmental,Inc
