1 <br /> 22 March 1999 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 95-0143 <br />' Page 3 of 5 <br />' 3 2 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF WATER SAMPLES <br /> During the November 1998 monitoring event,TPH-g was detected at concentrations of 190,000 parts <br />' per billion(ppb, reported as micrograms per liter), 1,600 ppb,4,000 ppb and 22,000 ppb in samples <br /> from MW-3,MW-6,MW-7 and MW-9,respectively BTE&X compounds were detected in samples <br /> from the same wells at concentrations as high as 58,000 ppb (toluene in the sample from MW-3) <br />' Benzene concentrations ranged from 88 ppb to 14,000 ppb Petroleum hydrocarbons were not <br /> detected in the samples collected from MW-10, MW-14, MW-15, MW-16 and MW-17 Analytical <br /> results for the November 1998 sampling are summarized on Table 2 <br />' During the February 1999 monitoringevent, TPH- was detected at concentrations of 170 000 b <br /> g pP <br /> 1,200 ppb, 1,400 ppb and 3,600 ppb in samples from MW-3, MW-6, MW-7 and MW-9, <br />' respectively BTE&X compounds were detected in samples from the same wells at concentrations <br /> as high as 54,000 ppb (toluene in the sample from MW-3) Benzene concentrations ranged from 3 <br />' ppb to 21,000 ppb in these four samples Benzene was also detected in MW-14 and MW-15 at <br /> concentrations of 14 ppb and 0 54 ppb,respectively Toluene was detected in MW-10, MW-14 and <br /> MW-17 at concentrations of 0 80 ppb, 0 89 ppb and 0 76 ppb, respectively Xylenes were detected <br />�. in MW-10 and MW-17 at concentrations of 16 ppb and 1 4 ppb, respectively Petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons were not detected in the sample collected from MW-16 Analytical results for the <br /> February I999 sampling are summarized on Table 3 <br /> During the November 1998 sampling, n-butyl benzene was detected in MW-6 at a concentration of <br /> 20 ppb, below the State of California Action Level (AL) of 45 ppb 1,2-Dichloroethane (1,2-DCA) <br /> was detected in MW-14 at a concentration of 12 ppb, above the State of California Maximum <br /> Contaminant Level (MCL) of 0 5 ppb BTE&X were detected by EPA Method 8260 at <br /> I concentrations similar to EPA Method 602 Seven additional constituents that do not have <br /> established drinking water MCLs or action levels (ALs) were detected by EPA Method 8260 in <br /> samples collected during the November 1998 monitoring event <br /> DIPE was detected in the samples collected from MW-14 during the November 1998 and February <br /> 1999 sampling events at concentrations of 12 ppb and 3 0 ppb, respectively Analytical results of <br /> Iwater samples analyzed by EPA 8260 are summarized on Table 5 <br /> Free product was not encountered in any of the wells on the site Analytical results of ground water <br /> samples are summarized on Tables 2 through 5 The laboratory report (MAI Laboratory I D Nos. <br /> 98253 - 98261 and 02839-02847) and chain-of-custody forms are included in Appendix B <br /> Advanced CeoEnvironmental,Inc <br /> I <br />
