Here is the information I received regarding our process around fluorescent bulb recycling:
Handling process as follows:
UW Bins
1. The UW bin is received by a Receiving Clerk
2. BOL(no details though for UW bins) is filed
3. The UW bin is then staged in a designated staging area for all UW bins
4. The UW bin is then picked up by our E-Recycling partners Electronic Recyclers International (ERI)
5. The pick ups By ERI are done once the staging area is full
Fluorescent Bulbs
1. The bulbs are received by a Receiving Clerk
2. BOL(no details though) is filed
3. The fluorescent light bulbs are then transported by MHE to our Hazardous Waste area
4. The bulbs are then processed for disposal according to our hazardous waste SOP (packaged, labeled, and set on
a pallet to await for pick-up by Clean-Earth aka Stericycle).
Chris Wilson
GM 726
From: Florido, Elianna [EHD] <eflorido@sigov.org>
Sent:Tuesday,June 30, 2020 9:05 AM
To: US Store Gen.
