Your determination that the TropiClean Alcohol-Free Ear Wash is a non-hazardous liquid, since the SDS lists the <br /> pH as 1.0-3.0, and under Title 22 hazardous waste regulations, liquids with a pH less than/equal to 2.0 are <br /> considered a hazardous waste. <br /> 2. Your determination that the Pyranha Space Spray 1-10 HP is a non-hazardous liquid, since the SDS states that <br /> the product is toxic to fish. <br /> 3. After further review of the SDS, I am concerned with your determination that the API Pond (Ammonia) Solution <br /> #1 is a non-hazardous liquid, since the SDS states the polyethylene glycol ingredient has an LC50 of 20 mg/L and <br /> the sodium salicylate-usp ingredient has a LC50 of 1-370 mg/L, and under Title 22 hazardous waste regulations, <br /> a waste or material is toxic to fish and hazardous if it has an LC50 less than 500 mg/L. <br /> 4. Your determination that the API Pond Freshwater Nitrite Test Solution is a non-hazardous liquid, since the SDS <br /> lists the pH as less than 1. <br /> 5. After further review of the SDS, I am concerned with your determination that the API Pond Phosphate Test <br /> Solution#2 is a non-hazardous liquid, since the SDS states the glycerine ingredient has an LC50 greater than only <br /> 0.011 mg/L and the stannous chloride ingredient has an LC50 greater than only 0.035 mg/L. <br /> Please consider all of the information provided in the SDSs, make a hazardous waste determination, and submit the <br /> hazardous waste category that employees should place the above waste items into.
