,B. EXISTING SITE CHARACTERISTICS 1. Describe the existing uses and improvements on the project site (including the type and number of any structures, roads, etc. ) . If undeveloped, put "vacant" or "agriculture" : 80% of site is an existing mature almond orchard, the remaining 20% of the site is a farm residence, currently occupied. 2. Uses in immediate vicinity: North Agricultural South Agricultural East Residentiall. West Residential 3 . Describe the existing topography on-site (e.g. , landforms, average % of slopes, etc. ) site is predominantly flat, except at the existing house and on the North side..of the site adjacent to Northland Road, which is bermed at a level above the orchard At the North East corner the shoulder of the roadway is about 6 feet above the site at the North West corner it is about 2 feet above the site. 4 . Describe existing drainage courses or eroded areas on or near the project site (e.g. , rivers, creeks, drainage ditches ) : There is an existing agricultural drainage ditch to the East side of the site. 5 . Describe the existing vegetation on-site and the percentage of the site it covers (map any significant vegetation stands and all mature trees 6" or greater in diameter ) The site is currently a producing almond orchard with mature trees at approximately 15 ft.
