SHEET NUMBER 2
is a much lower concentration than the proposed Alternative Technology batches
to be treated under the variance.
We believe that the 2,000 yds3+ of lower concentration contaminated soil (450
mg/kg) would be ideal for treatment at the site and, once cleaned, use for fill
material at the treatment site where it would be compacted and covered with
asphalt or landscaped and cropped. This schedule would provide more treatment
experience with lower level contamination which we believe would be advantageous
for all copeerned.
We have sent a copy of this letter and the laboratory results to the San Joaquin
Local Health District for their consideration. I will be in contact with both
local agencies next week. I have talked to Kieth Riely, California Department
of Health Services regarding this matter and have sent both local agencies a copy
of the letter and laboratory analysis results that was sent to him.
If you have any questions, please call me.
Sincerely,
pry:u
YY.• L.
