I-DESCRIPTION OF FACILITY <br /> The Permittee, Naval Communication Station Stockton has applied for a <br /> Permit to store hazardous waste in Building 804A. This building will store <br /> hazardous waste that is generated on-site. The dimensions of Building 804A <br /> are 40 feet by 80 feet. There are ten separate storage cells located in <br /> this building. Three cells have a storage capacity of 8,380 gallons while <br /> six other cells have a storage capacity of 4 , 080 gallons . The <br /> polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB) storage cell has a storage capacity of <br /> 3, 352 gallons . Oils, solvents, caustics, batteries, PCB contaminated <br /> items , oxidizers , acids , asbestos and water reactive waste are the <br /> hazardous wastes stored in this building. Each is stored in a separate <br /> cell. <br /> The design and construction of Building 804A complies with state and <br /> federal standards and have been certified for their intended uses by an <br /> engineer registered in California. This is the only area on-site where <br /> hazardous waste may be stored over 90 days and PCB items stored over 30 <br /> days. <br /> I.l <br />
