There is a school <br />located directly across the street and downwind from this illegal storage facility. <br />OBSERVATIONSICOMMENTS: <br />Verified some lab containers are labeled flammable, poison, or extremely toxic and some of the <br />containers have spilled and may be stored with incompatibles. Additionally, many 55 gallon drums, <br />over 200 drums, storing hazardous materials and waste are open, unlabeled, and/or in deteriorated <br />condition. Observed at least one bulging 55 gallon drum of a hazardous material. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTIONS: <br />Immediately abate the unknown, open, deteriorating, and/or leaking lab waste and 55 gallon drums <br />as they are an imminent hazardew,-to all the neighbors, which included the nearby school and ACE <br />train station, immediately adjacent to this facility. <br />If no hazardous waste hauler arrives by 3:00 pm today, the Environmental Health Department will <br />coordinate with the Department of Toxic Substance Control Emergency Response Team to abate <br />the imminent hazards seen at these locations.
