EVENT ACTION <br />Driver calls dispatch supervisor and reports address with details of spill and estimated <br />amount of fuel. <br />Based upon amount of spill, more than 3 gallons contact CURA EMERGENCY SERVICES for clean up <br />Less than 3 gallons, driver will use spill kit in tractor to contain and cleanup following <br />written process in spill kit. <br />Dispatch calls CURA EMERGENCY SERVICES at 800-579-2872, obtaining approval from <br />either Joe Diniz or Todd Ford (Coordinators) <br />Page Two (2) <br />Automatic reporting in California, OES office in the county event occurred, in Nevada Emergency Management Office <br />1 California, OES office in the county event occurred <br />2 Nevada, Emergency Management Office, 775-687-4240 <br />IV SPILL KITS <br />Distribution Center Spill Kits, which are located in the dry warehouse and at the Fuel Island contain: <br />1 or more bags of diatomaceous earth or equivalent <br />1 or more EPA -2 Spill Kits contents as follows <br />1 Plastic open top 55 gallon dram <br />1 Bale of 3M -brand absorbent type 151 <br />1 Plug n' Dike granular (48 Ib. pail) <br />1- 6 mil plastic bags <br />4 - 21'x 6" expanded glass dike (boom) <br />1 pint spray bottle <br />1 Shovel <br />Process directions <br />Each spill kit will contain the following and be placed in the cab behind the seat; <br />10 absorbent pads <br />- 1 pair of disposal gloves <br />temporary patch kit for ruptured tank or fuel line <br />- 3 3" x 4' socks for containing spills <br />1 containment bag with zip tie <br />process directions <br />Upon the use of the kit, the driver will notify the shop for inspecting and refilling the kit. <br />EMERGENCY SERVICES - CURA will provide a 24 hour, 365 day a year turnkey coverage which will include; <br />contact with a live person <br />CURA's Incident Manager will call back in 10 minutes or less <br />CURA's Incident Manager will provide instructions to you and other initial responders <br />They will coordinate prequalified cleanup contractor and all other response activities with other responders(fire,DOT,etc) <br />Verbal and Regulatory notifications will be made by CURA on the company's behalf <br />Waste characreization and disposal will be arranged by CURA <br />Closure documents will be completed and forwarded to the environmental agencies <br />contractor invoices will be audited for accuracy, should there be questionable charges, they will negotiate a resolution <br />Engine Company #3 does an annual familiarization with our facility <br />Contracted with Dameron Hospital to handle any injuries <br />Location of hazardous materials is identified on our H.M.M.P. and is on filewith the office of Emergency Services <br />Fleet Spill Handling Policy Revised 4/23/04 <br />4/23/2004 <br />
