NARRATXVE
I. INTRODUCTION
A. BACKGROUND
In 1989, The State of California enacted the Hazardous Waste Source
Reduction and Management Review Act (commonly referred to as Senate
Bill, SB 14 - Source Reduction Plan) found in Title 22 California Code of
Regulations Section 67100. SB 14 requires industries that annually
generate more than 12,000 kilograms (kg) or 26,400 pounds (lb) of
hazardous waste or more than 12 kg or 26 Ib of extremely hazardous
waste, to complete a Source Reduction Evaluation Review and Plan (Plan),
Hazardous Waste Management Performance Report (Report), and a
Summary Progress Report (SPR).
The Act requires generators of hazardous waste to evaluate their
hazardous waste generating processes for source reduction potential and
report current waste management procedures. SB 14 was created to
require industries to reduce the generation of hazardous waste
management information for likely review by the state and local
authorities. The rules and regulations are found in Appendix C of the
Hazardous Waste Source Reduction Evaluation Review and Plan (Source
Reduction Plan).
Stockton Unified School District 3 NETWORK ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEMS,INC
Hazardous Waste Performance Report
