Are the nine 55-gallon drums of metal dust still being stored
onsite?
Also, the oil filters can be labeled "drained used oil filters"with an accumulation start date instead of as hazardous
waste. Filters(a maximum of one ton)can be stored onsite for up to one year before sending offsite for
recycling.
The drum of batteries can be labelled "universal waste-batteries" instead of as hazardous waste. Universal
waste can be stored onsite for up to one year before sending offsite for recycling.
Thank you,
Garrett Backus, REHS
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
600 E.
