The hazardous <br /> waste tank system that is the subject of this certification report comprises this single tank. <br /> Pep Boys employees drive customers'vehicles into one of the service bays and where they are <br /> raised on lifts.Waste oil is drained from the vehicles into wheeled collection units.These <br /> collection units can collect waste oil from numerous vehicles and are"containers"under the <br /> California Health'and Safety Code and therefore not art of this certification. When full,the <br /> waste oil collection units are brought to the Waste Oil Tank.Air pressure is used to transfer the <br /> contents of the unit Into the tank. When the tank is full the transporter's truck arrives and <br /> connects to the tank. Waste oil is picked up by licensed transporters at intervals not exceeding <br /> 90 days and taken to licensed recycling facilities. <br />
