Lesson Title
Learning Unit
Title
Safety
Service Center Safety Policies
Outside photo of Service Center, at least one open bay
door
Content Block.
U
Screen 127.
Audio
A service center manager: "I've worked for a long time in
Pep Boys' 'iervice centers. That's how I got to be
manager. And I've seen just about every kind of accident
that you could imagine. Lately, I haven't seen many
because we are really working hard to make safety a top
job. If you have a safety question once you start work,
I'm the guy to ask. Don't be shy."
As you saw in the video, things are a bit different in the Service Center.
Machines hum. Cars start. Horns honk.
There are usually no customers in the work area. No one is looking at products
on shelves.
But there are a lot of people doing complicated jobs.
And there are so many kinds of equipment. These are your tools.
You must know how to use any equipment safely before you begin.
If You don't know—ask your manager.
280
