Lesson Title Safety . Screen 30.
Learning Unit Service Center Safety Policies (continued)
Title
Black and white photo of equipment with red safety
guard
Content Block.
Audio
Sometimes it may seem like you would have more
control if you removed the safety guard from a piece of
machinery. You may think that they are just in the way.
Don't remove the guards. These guards were specially
designed to protect people against accidental injury.
A lot of our service equipment has built-in safety guards. Never take off the
safety guard—for any reason. They are there to protect you from injury.
Also, safety chains must be used. Whenever the service bay doors a, a open,
yellow safety chains must be placed across the doorway. If there are no chains
available, tell your manager right away.
Customers may not enter the service area without a service employee. Never
let a customer wander off alone.
Activity
31
