Chapter <br />Environmental <br />Screen 19. <br />Title <br />Page Title <br />PBY Logs <br />Image <br />Oil waste tank or log book <br />Content Block. <br />There are 3 important logs that Pep Boys is required to maintain: <br />Daily Waste Oil Log - Whether you have an above -ground storage tank (AST) or under -ground storage tank <br />(UST), it's a federal requirement to measure the level of oil twice a day - before the store opens and after the <br />store closes. Then write the measurement on the daily waste oil log. An inches to gallons conversion chart is <br />available on the intranet. <br />DIY Log - Many people bring in their waste oil because they have no way to dispose of it. This is called do-it- <br />yourself (DIY) oil. A DIY log must be maintained to record all the DIY oil we receive. If a customer chooses not <br />to disclose the requested information, simply record the entry as "orphan oil" and mark the number of gallons. <br />Alarm Check Log - If your store maintains a UST for waste oil collection, you should be completing a monthly <br />alarm check log.
