STOGE, _QN FAugus117,2015 <br />SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br />(CLASS 1, CLASS 11, or MINOR- Notice to Comply) <br />Item 4 Remarks <br />601 CCR 6626234(a) Stored hazardous waste on site longer than 90 days without a permit or authorization. <br />Containers of hazardous waste found on site longer than 90 days: <br />- A black 40 gallon drum of used aerosols on the south side of the shop had a start accumulation date of September <br />22, 2014. <br />- A black 55 gallon drum of waste oil with absorbent on the south side of the shop had a start accumulation date of <br />September 6, 2014. <br />- A black 40 gallon drum of used brake fluid on the south side of the shop had a start accumulation date of September <br />22, 2014. <br />Facilities who generate more than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month may store waste on site up to 90 days. <br />immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and submit a copy of <br />the manifest to the EHD. <br />This is a repeat violation, Class It. <br />608 CCR 656266.130 Failed to properly manage used oft and fuel filters. <br />Three black 55 gallon drums of used oil filters on the south side of the shop did not have a start accumulation date. <br />Two used oil filters were found on the floor not labeled or containerized. Used oil filters shall be drained of free-flowing <br />oil, stored in a closed. rainproof container, labeled as "drained used oil filters," and marked with an accumulation start <br />date. Immediately label a start date, containerize and label the drained used oil filter and ensure that all used oil filters <br />are managed in this way. This was corrected on site. <br />This is a repeat violation, Class 11. <br />Overall Inspection Comments: <br />Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br />documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br />paperwork, by September 16, 2015. <br />Please be aware as of January 1, 2013, 211 businesses are required to submit all hazardous materials information <br />online to the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) at hftp-./Icers.calepa.ca.gov. Be sure to include <br />your hazardous waste activity in the Businesses Activities section in CERS in addition to any other relevant <br />activities and required fields. <br />NOTES: <br />- The facility generates waste oil. waste antifreeze, used oil filters, waste oil with absorbent, used aerosol cans and <br />brake fluid. <br />- A black 56 gallon drum of waste antifreeze was open during inspection- This was corrected on site. <br />- Provided SJCEHD COPA class schedule. <br />- Provided RTC.
