Delta Plating Inc. <br /> Inspection Report <br /> Page 3 of 4 <br /> Facility Current Status: <br /> Number of regulated U its: 2 Permit By Rule Units <br /> Waste streams being generated / Treated: <br /> Aqueous waste with Metals — pH adjustment, neutralization, precipitation, <br /> flocculation <br /> Special Waste /Sludge containing metals — Filter Press <br /> Aqueous waste— Hexavalent Chromium — Reduction <br /> Inorganic Acid /Alkaline waste — pH adjustment, neutralization <br /> Cyanide destruction not in use (pending authorization) <br /> SITE WALKTHROUGH: <br /> Upon our arrival, we met with Mr. Douglas Baker at the front of the office and <br /> proceed to his office. <br /> We discussed the purpose of the site inspection and requested permission to <br /> perform the inspection and also take photographs. Mr. Douglas Baker gave his <br /> permission for both activities. Mr. Baker gave us a short history of the facility and <br /> description of the current production activities. <br /> EXIT INTERVIEW: <br /> We returned to his office after the walkthrough. 1 explained our observation <br /> during the inspection I pointed out that facility should stop painting of the <br /> wastewate-r1reatment area until completion of investigation. I also explained that <br /> areas of concern in the main plating room, wastewater treatment area and storm <br /> drain area outside the plating room existed, see attachment A photographs. <br /> CONCLUSION / RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Based on DTSC's findings from this inspection conducted on May 20, 2004, <br /> further investigation in the three areas of concern is recommended. Two of the <br /> ADCs identified in the checklist were also identified in the DTSC's inspection. I <br /> also explain the corrective action consent agreement process with Mr. Baker. <br />
