This information was obtained from published maps, <br /> previous reports, and local agency records. <br /> TABLE 2 <br /> PHYSICAL SETTING <br /> USGS Stockton <br /> USES The site is depicted as vacant land. The <br /> West Quadrangle, <br /> TOPOGRAPHIC elevation of the site is approximately 17 <br /> QUADRANGLE 7.5-Minute Series, feet above mean sea level (msl) and is <br /> 1968 Scale: 1 inch = located on relatively flat terrain. <br /> 2,000 feet. <br /> California Division of The subject site lies within the Great <br /> Mines and Geology, Valley Geomorphic Province of California. <br /> Regional Geologic The valley is 400 miles long, 50 miles <br /> GEOLOGIC MAP Map 5A, San wide, and comprises approximately <br /> Francisco-San Jose 20,000 square miles. The subject site <br /> Quadrangle, 1990, and the adjacent properties are shown as <br /> scale: 1 inch = 4 a member of the Modesto Formation, <br /> miles derived from fan deposits from the Sierra <br /> Nevada. <br /> Soil at the site is mapped as Jacktone- <br /> Urban land complex. Nearly level unit <br /> found in basins. Unit is 50% Jacktone <br /> Clay and 35% Urban Land. Units are not <br /> Soil Survey of San mapped separately. Jacktone soil is <br /> Joaquin County, moderately deep to hardpan and <br /> SOIL TYPE United States somewhat poorly drained. Formed of <br /> Department of alluvium from mixed rock sources. <br /> Agriculture, October Typical profile dark gray clay to 22 inches <br /> 1992. underlain by 12 inches dark clay and light <br /> gray clay loam and 3 inches of hardpan. <br /> The next 9 inches is yellowish brown <br /> loam and yellowish brown weakly <br /> cemented hardpan. <br /> 57252.T02/ST05R999/DH:ly Page 7 of 29 <br /> ©2005 Kleinfelder, Inc.
