Photo Waste Handling, Continued <br />Empty Photo Empty photo chemical containers (other than empty F1 cartridges) may be <br />Chemical thrown in the regular trash, but only if they're empty. If you were to hold the <br />Containers container upside down for 30 seconds and nothing would come out then the <br />container can be considered empty. If anything would pour out, it is not <br />considered empty and the container must be closed, bagged in a StrongPak <br />self-sealing bag and put in the StrongPak "PHOTO" container. <br />Discharge Stores that are allowed to discharge their photo processing effluent down the <br />Stores Only drain after treatment in an SRU must consult the Photo HSE Manual for <br />further instruction. This process is not covered in this training. <br />Other Based on state -specific regulations, your store may be required to collect <br />additional items as hazardous waste.
