n <br />4.29.6 Record Keeping <br />C. <br />Records shall be kept of employee noise measurements, audiometric testing and <br />audiometer calibration. The requirements for record keeping, record retention and employee <br />access to records as outlined in OSHA Noise Standard 1910.95 and CCR, Title 8, Section 5095 <br />shall be followed. <br />RESPIRATORY4.30 <br />Level C PPE with a half -face respirator has been selected by Geofon for all work to be <br />performed inside the exclusion zone. Respirators will be equipped with particulate <br />HEPA/organic vapor cartridges. This selection was based on an evaluation of the potential <br />respiratory hazards to which workers may be exposed by Geofon's CIH. <br />Respirators use maintenance and care, storage, training and fit testing, and medical <br />requirements are all discussed in detail in Geofon's Corporate Health and Safety Program <br />document. <br />4.30.1 Hazard Communication Program <br />The SSHO will evaluate the potential hazards of chemicals that may be found on site. <br />The hazard determination shall be conducted using the Hazard Determination Guidelines, which <br />are available to employees upon request. Even though OSHA has not required any specific <br />methods for determining hazards, they have set forth general criteria, which must be included in <br />the manufacturer's procedures for evaluation of the chemicals. <br />OSHA has designated a "floor" of over 600 substances, which are specified as hazardous <br />in all situations. These substances include chemicals regulated by OSHA under 29 CFR, Part <br />1910, Subpart Z, and those listed in the American Conference of governmental Industrial <br />Hygienists Threshold Limit Value Guidelines.
