Environmental Investigation & Action, Inc. (E.I.A.) began to excavate and remove one <br />(1) oil water seperator located in Sharpe Facility 60L in accordance with the regulations <br />and oversight of the California Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central Valley <br />Region (CRWQCB, CVR). <br />The oil water seperator was triple -rinsed prior to breaking/removal, both the rinsate and <br />seperator contents used in cleaning the clarifier was removed and transported under <br />manifest to a legal disposal site. All waste material was pumped -out and transported <br />using a vacuum truck. Attached is a copy of the Hazardous Waste Manifest No. <br />#92331593, provided documentation of the legal disposal of all waste materials removed <br />from the site (Exhibit #3). <br />The seperator was removed from the site following approval under CRWQCB, CVR. <br />The seperator was transported to L.M.C. Metals, Inc. in Stockton, CA for disposal <br />(metal scrap). <br />Exhibit #1 - One Photograph of Seperator 60L <br />Note. SOIL SAMPLING <br />Soil sampling was conducted on October 19, 1993, following the removal of the <br />underground storage tank, one (1) samples were collected approximately 7' into natural <br />soil by P.W. Wheeler of Fruit Growers Laboratory, Inc. Samples were collected in brass <br />sleeve, sealed with clean teflon coated lid and properly identified (60L) to correspond <br />with the Soil Sampling Location Map (Exhibit #4) and Chain of Custody/Soil Analysis <br />Report (Exhibit #5 & #6-#9). <br />Soil sampling was conducted under the oversight of California Regional Water Quality <br />Control Board, Central Valley Region. <br />Exhibit #4 - Soil Sampling Location Map <br />Exhibit #5 - Chain of Custody <br />Exhibit #6- #10 - Soil Analysis Report & Quality Assurance Report <br />
