Roth
Road in French Camp.
Around 1991, the original Bldg 199 was demolished and its 6000 -Gallon UST removed.
The building was rebuilt as a wash rack with an underground oil/water separator. In 1995, the
OWS system was modified into a sealed 4500 -gallon concrete sump to hold wash"water for
processing through an above ground OWS. In 2000 the building was leased to the Defense
Reutilization and Marketing Office (DRMO) and taken out of service as a wash facility.
Attached in one document are excerpts from a nearby soil remediation project which
discusses the building history and an excerpt from the draft project specifications to convert the
system into the aboveground OWS. Also are photographs of the facility taken on 1-11-05.
If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Maurice Benson, Environmental Protection
Specialist, at (209) 839-4065.
Sincerely,
MAURICE BENSON
Environmental Protection Specialist
