Lower Sacramento,Lodi CA
A recent review of the underground storage tank(UST) file for the above referenced facility indicated
that this office has not received your annual monitoring certification and line leak detector
certification. According to Title 23, California Code of Regulations, Section 2637 (b), this testing
must be performed at least once every 12 months. According to section 2636 (f)(4), you must submit
your pressurized line tightness test to this office annually(unless exempt under section 2636 (g)).
If these tests have not been performed in accordance with the required time frames, then schedule the
monitoring certification, line leak detector certification, and pressurized line tightness test with a
certified technician by January 8,2004.
At this time we would also like to remind you that by December 31, 2003, all existing underground
storage tanks shall be retrofitted with under-dispenser containment(UDC), or an under-
dispenser spill containment or control system. The under-dispenser containment or under-
dispenser spill containment or control system shall meet, where applicable, the requirements of
2636(h)(2), or 2636(h)(3). HSC 2666(e).
The installation of the UDC for the underground tank system requires a permit from this office. In
addition, this office must be notified so that proper inspections can be made. This office requires a
48-hour notification prior to performing any inspections or test. Results from the any testing must be
sent to this office within 30 days of the test completion.
If you have any questions regarding this matter you may contact me at (209)468-3459.
Thank you,
Dennis Catanya , HS
Registered Environmental Health Specialist
