Country Club 76 issue 0 Is
Garrett Backus [EH]
From: David Hinds [dhinds@cafuelsupply.com]
Sent: Tuesday, June 23, 2009 12:31 PM
To: Garrett Backus [EH]
Cc: m.vendeiro@att.net; Dave Hoover; Mike Ahmadi
Subject: Country Club 76 issue
Hi Garrett,
I want to advise you of an issue we are having at our station.
The station went into alarm on Saturday. We called Central Petroleum but they were unable to send somebody so we had to
call BZ Maintenance. BZ found the Blueline Penetration boot in the 87 STP sump to be leaking brine. They attempted to
repair it but turned out they did not do so successfully and the station went back into alarm. Central Petroleum was called to
fix the problem and there tech came out today in the morning. They said they could not fix it and we should talk to the
company who installed the Boot. I had the Central Petro call and explain to Mark Vendeiro at MVP what he thought the
issue was. Mark drove down to see for himself today and just called me from the station.
Mark confirmed it is the lueline Penetration boot in the 87 STP sump has called the manufacturer of the boot for a
replacement. As soon as the replacement boot comes in he will have it repaired.
I have read through Title 23, Division 3, Chapter 16 and CA Health and safety code Chapter 6.7 looking for the correct
procedure to react and notify the appropriate agency without success. Because we are currently under a microscope I wanted
ask you for advice on how we need to deal with this issue.
Please advise me on how you would like us to proceed.
Also if you have any questions about the issue or planned repair you can contact Mark Vendeiro at (916) 205-1537. He is
also Cc'ed on this e-mail.
Thank you,
Dave Hinds
CA Fuel Supply
(925)989-8223
6/23/2009
