Fairmont Ave, Lodi, CA
Ms. Henry:
My apologies for keeping missing each other on the phone today. I understand that
you have talked with our Project Administrator, Ms. Duarte, yesterday afternoon
regarding the documentation in preparation for the Final Inspection ("dry")
scheduled for Fri, 2/13 at 0900h.
Please allow me to first assure you that we have every intention of fully complying
with each and every request/directive in your (EHD's) letter of approval for the
above installation of January 28, 2008. Our crew comprising of our most qualified
personnel, Field Operations Manager, Michael Mizicko, and General Superintendent,
Mr. Derek Rethmeier, will be on site as of the afternoon February 9th in order to
complete preparations for the "dry" final inspection which we scheduled with you
for Friday, 2/13 at 0900h. Please accept the mere fact that we are sending our best
and most qualified personnel as testimony to how seriously we take this
inspection.
This will give us four (4) days to make sure that ALL documents are presented to
you prior to the Final Inspection. Third-party Enhanced Leak Detection (final
test) is scheduled for February 10th so those results will be forwarded to you
immediately after completion. Derek Rethmeier has been working on the As Builts and
has them almost complete, with the few final notes to be made on site during the
week of 2/9 so that they can be submitted to you as fully accurate and complete.
Even though mere distance between San Diego and Lodi cannot be the excuse it. does
pose serious problems in terms of mere verification of details on site which we can
only confirm once our team is there.
I would, therefore, ask you to please give us a time on site in the afternoon of
Monday, 2/9 or earliest possible time on Tuesday, 2/10, so that both Mike Mizicko
and Derek Rethmeier can go over the discrepancies of the documents with you in
person, and make sure that everything is corrected and as needed to be presented to
you during the leak monitoring certification on Friday, 2/13 @ 0900h. Of course,
this meeting will be part of the inspection procedure and as such billable under
the San Joaquin EHD rules and we have no problem whatsoever with this. In fact, we
would very much appreciate your help so that we can make sure that this inspection
goes smoothly. We also understand that after this inspection you may also want to
witness the fuel delivery for a "wet" inspection of the system which we can
schedule promptly as soon as we can coordinate it with you and the owner (fuel
delivery, that is) .
Please let me know as soon as possible how we can arrange for the meeting on site
for either Monday, 2/9 in the afternoon or Tuesday, 2/10 am hours.
Thank you very much for your help in this matter.
Best Regards,
Dejan Ristic
2/3/2009
