The following two components did not work correctly. The dispenser 7 east side float and chain did
not trip the shear valve when tested with water. The dispenser 7 diesel shear valve, when tripped
manually, did not completely close and stop the flow of fuel. All monitoring equipment shall be
maintained to activate an audible and visual alarm or stop the flow of product at the dispenser when it
detects a leak. Correct immediately by having a properly licensed, trained, and certified contractor
replace the failed components with functional components (LG 113-x listed, if applicable) and obtain a
repair permit within one business day from the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Dept. If the
failed components can't be replaced immediately, there is a possibility that the relevant fuel grades on
the UST system may be red tagged to prevent fuel inputs.
Note that the float and chain devices under the dispensers at this site have failed during the monitoring
system certifications and been repaired in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013. 7 -Eleven has
operated the site during monitoring system certifications in 2012 and 2013 only.
ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE.
THIS FACILITY IS SUBJECT TO REINSPECTION AT ANY TIME AT EHD'S CURRENT HOURLY RATE.
EHD Ll,d @fiv 04/19/12 Page 3 UST INSPECTION REPORT
