(TEM), is pleased to submit this workplan on behalf of <br />the County of San Joaquin Public Works to perform confirmation borings at San Joaquin <br />County Motor Fool facility (SITE) located at 1810 East Hazelton, in the city of Stockton, <br />California. This workplan has been prepared in accordance with information provided by the <br />San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division. <br />TEM proposes to advance one (1) boring by Tanks # 6-8 unt1120 feet of uncontaminated soil <br />is encountered or groundwater is detected, if groundwater is identified, the boring will be <br />advanced an additional 15 feet for the installation of a monitoring well. Soil samples will be <br />taken at five-foot intervals. A mobile lab will be used to analyze the soil samples. In additicii, <br />TEM proposes to advance one (1) slant boring to a depth of 30 feet bgs. This slant boring wilt <br />extend north wwards, Tank #$. Soil samples will be collected at 20, 25 and 30 feet bgs. See <br />Figure 1_i <br />AREA 4 <br />The County of San Joaquin would like to remove the waste -oil UST and associated piping with <br />bottom soil samples. The UST and associated piping will be triple rinsed & cleaned prior to <br />removal. Confirmation samples will be taken at the bottom of the UST cavity. The <br />excavation will be backfilled and compacted and the concrete will be resurfaced. Tank 8 a <br />1,000 gal UST discovered recently will be abandoned in place. Work includes triple rinse and <br />fill with slurry. The borings for Area 3 will act as the confirmation boring for this UST. <br />701 North PSrkcenter Drive • Santa Ana.
