Verify that the TLS Console has a chassis ground connected. <br /> 4. Verify that power conduit and sensor and probe conduits enter TLS Console Dt y through preformed, <br /> designated knockouts. <br /> 5. Verify that probe and sensor wiring and conduit meet Veeder•Root requirement (ref.manual P/N 576013- <br /> 879). <br /> 6. If the system fails the intrinsic safety check, disconnect and cap the AC wires it the monitor,and disconnect <br /> and cap all probe and sensor field wires in the probe and sensor junction boxes . <br /> IMPORTANT! Do not apply power to the system until its installation has been c ecked and found to be in ac- <br /> cordance with the instructions outlined in the Veeder-Root TLS-3XX Series Sit( Prep and Installation manual; <br /> the National Electrical Code;federal,state,and local codes;and other applical e safety codes. <br /> Visual Inspection of Console Interior <br /> It is recommended that whenever troubleshooting,repairing,or replacing compo t( ils,a visual inspection of the <br /> overall condition of the system be made. <br /> Turn off,tag and lockout power to the console before starting this inspe c on. <br /> 1. Inspect for signs of corrosion inside the console. <br /> 2. Check for broken or frayed insulation on all wires and be sure that the wires<:re secure at their terminals. <br /> 3. Check all PC boards for cracks. <br /> 4. Check to see that there is no loose or missing hardware for components(trays )rmers, PC boards,brackets, <br /> etc.). <br /> 5. Check to see that all interconnecting cable connectors are firmly seated.Chf:c' 4.onnector ends for cracks and <br /> flat cable for breaks. <br /> 6. Check fuse continuity and fuseholder contacts for corrosion. <br /> 7. Check monitor for cracked display lens and damaged or missing buttons. <br /> 8. Check the mounting of the equipment to be sure all components were mount:=c properly and in accordance <br /> with instructions contained in the Site Preparation and Installation manual. <br /> 9. Verify that no unapproved modifications to equipment have been made, no unal :troved parts are being used, <br /> and previous repairs and modification bring the unit to original factory conditior <br /> 10.All deficiencies should be corrected and damaged components replaced befor continuing with procedures. <br /> Test Front Panel (LEDs, Display, and Console Beeper <br /> Apply power to the console.The display should read the start-up message and the .reen POWER LED should <br /> illuminate. Press the ALARM✓TEST button to verify that the red ALARM and yellow NARNING LEDs illuminate <br /> and the console beeper switches On. <br /> 2-9 <br />
