The OPW 61SO Overfill, Prevention Valve is designed to be a simple. low cost solution to the shut-off of product fill to underground storaze tanks. The shut-off valve is an integiai part of the dmpmbe used for submerged filling. The OPW 6 ISO allows easy installa- tion without breakine concrete and no special manholes are required. It is as simple as changing droprubes. The OPW 61 SO is a two-stage shut- off valve. When the liquid level rises to about 95% of tank capacity — the valve mechanism is released and closes auto- matically with the flow. This reduces the flow rate to approximately 5 g-prn through a bypass valve. The operator may Chen stop the flilling process. dis- connect and drain the delivery hose. As long as the liquid exceeds the 95% levL the valve will close automatically each time delivery is attempted. If the storage tank is overfilled to an 'T' unsafe condition and the liquid rises to about 98% of tank capacity — the bypass pass valve closes. No additional liq- uid can flow into the tank until the level drops below a reset point.
