It may
be installed in sumps, dispenser pans, steel double wail tanks,or other
locations where the presence of liquid indicates a leak has occurred. The
TSP-ULS Is based on float-switch technology and is made of chemically
resistant materials to assure compatibility with most liquids. Each sensor
is supplied with a 25 foot cable and is compatible with standard electrical
boxes and fittings. The TSP-ULS's normally closed output circuit provides
supervised operation, ensuring that broken wires and similar failures will
not go undetected.
APPLICATION
The TSP-ULS maybe installed in sumps and in interstitial spaces in steel
double wail tanks.A 1/2-inch NPT thread is provided on the compression
gland fitting(cord grip)attached to the sensors cable, allowing it to be THEORY OF OPERATION
suspended from standard electrical boxes and fittings. In typical
applications, the TSP•ULS is screwed into a conduit opening on the The secret to the TSP-ULS's reliability and low cast is its float switch
bottom of a junction box located on a sump wail. The sensor may be 'ethnology.A small magnetically activated reed switch is located inside
_ ihe body of the sensor.Tiny magnets are positioned inside a light weight
positioned vertically by loosening the gland filling and adjusting the
• length of the cable extending from it.In steel interstitial tanks the TSP- float which is tree to move up and down along the shaft of the TSP•ULS.
ULS is lowered into the opening provided on the tank, and is suspended if the sensor is dry,the float hangs down on the shalt so that the magnets
fromtheoptionalTSP-Kl2installationkit.Manyothermountingmethods are below the reed switch. When the sensor is immersed in liquid, the
are possible allowing the TSP-lAS to be used in a wide variety of float rises.and the magnet activates the reed switch. The rand switch
opening is used to indicate whether the sensor is wet or dry.
applications and locations.
ORDER PART NUMBER:
WEATHERPROOF 3.5
JUNCTION 90X -
CONDUIT Evaluated for use as
associated equipment with
INCON's U-L,listed
consoles.
t,m
TSP-tr
Distributed by;
CLJ.\U
INTELL-IGENT CONTROI_S,INC.
P.0,Isax 638.Sam,ME 04072 USA
800-833-8328/201-283-0156
O(X)-1254 Rev.c Fax:207-283-0158
