To: Ted Glass <br />Dear Ted-. <br />Per our telephone conversation 10-21-97, you were concerned about the certification of the <br />OPW 66CAS-0300 for the Gilbarco VaporVac system and the product substitution of the <br />66CAS-0300 for the OPW 66CIP-0250. The OPW 66CAS-0300 has a C.A.R.B. certification <br />letter 496-18, this certification is for the intended use on gasoline dispensing devices having <br />inverted coaxial vapor recovery capabilities w/working pressures not exceeding 50 (psi). See <br />attached CERT letter. <br />C.A.R.B. Executive order G -70 -150 -AD is the certification for the Gilbarco VaporVac inverted <br />coaxial vapor recovery system, this document is dated February 7, 1994. As part of this <br />certification as stated in Exhibit 1, Page 2, of the Equipment List are approved components for <br />system. The break -away couplings are listed without vapor poppet and with vapor poppet. The <br />6.?W 66CIP (reconnectable) breaka-way is listed as with vapor poppet- See Exhibit 1, Page 2 <br />break -away couplings. <br />I - <br />The OPW 66CAS-0300 is a wilvapor poppet (reconnectable) breakaway approved for any <br />inverted coaxial vapor recovery system as stated in CERT letter 496-18 dated July 15, 1996. <br />This product was designed two years after the system certification thus would not show up in <br />the approved Equipment List except as an addition. This exception is stated in system document <br />under with a vapor poppet. See Exhibit 1, Page 2. <br />ARB- <br />OR Any inverted coaxial breakaway which is Ccertified <br />for use with the VaporVac system. <br />OPW has discontinued the OPW 66CIP and has replaced this breakaway with the OPW <br />66CAS-0300. This new and improved design offers a lower cost to the consumer.
