n <br />3. Electronic monitoring systems shall be tested annually for proper operation. (For <br />secondarily contained tanks and piping only.) <br />4. Dispenser core holes, shear valves, and blending valves shall be annually inspected by <br />UNOCAL for signs of leakage. <br />5. Dispenser meters (recording total sales in gallons) shall be calibrated once annually by <br />UNOCAL. Any additional calibration will be the responsibility of the dealer. Use the <br />"Dispenser Meter Calibration Form". <br />VADOSE/GROUNDWATER MONITORING WELLS <br />The monitoring of vadose wells and groundwater monitoring wells is contracted out to Applied <br />Geo Systems. Monitoring is performed monthly for vapor analysis of the vadose wells and <br />subjective analysis for traces of product in the groundwater monitoring wells. Monitoring is <br />performed quarterly for laboratory analysis of groundwater samples. Monitoring records are <br />maintained on-site in the dealer's office, and are available for inspection. <br />EMPLOYEE TRAINING PLAN <br />Employees must be given this training before starting work, and refresher courses must be <br />provided annually. Records must be kept to show when each station employee has been <br />given his/her safety training. Use the following outline: <br />FIRST THINGS TO KNOW <br />A. EMERGENCY PUMP SHUT-OFF: This turns off the turbine pumps that provide <br />flow to the dispensers- from the underground tanks. In case of a leak, shutting <br />off the pumps will help to prevent spills. <br />LOCATION: (1) Located outside front of service bay on south side of building. <br />(1) located inside dealer office. <br />B. ELECTRICAL PANEL: The panel allows you to selectively cut off power to <br />lights, signs, pumps, etc. The main switch kills all power at the site. <br />LOCATION: In storage room <br />C.
