Leak Detection
Leak Detect Mode
When your station is closed, Tank
Monitor 2 can operate in its "Leak
Detect" mode, sensing inventory loss
as small as,1/5 (.20) gallon per hour.
A Pass/Fail/Invalid report will be
automatically issued for each tank at
the end of the test period.
Tank Monitor 2 can also accept input
from other devices, such as vadose
zone monitors, line -leak monitors, or
interstitial monitors. Input signals from
these devices are recorded by Tank
Monitor 2 and can trigger alarm
relays.
Large
Liquid Crystal
Display
20 -Column prii
Easy -to -Use Console
Clearly marked buttons, a large
Liquid Crystal Display, and
key -controlled operating modes make
Tank Monitor 2 simple to operate.
Each Tank Monitor 2 console can
monitor as many as eight tanks.
Convenient Reports
Tank Monitor 2 features a built-in
20 -column printer for an instant
record of the data you request. The
printed reports speed shift changes,
record deliveries, and document leak
tests for your convenience.
The printer is easy to load with paper,
and covered for protection against
dirt and moisture.
Probes
Each Tank Monitor 2 probe is
mounted inside a tank through a 3"
or 4" riser pipe. Probes are available
in a variety of lengths, corresponding
to standard tank sizes.
Capacitance technology and a
three -stage filter at the end of the
probe helps ensure accurate
measurement of water and fuel in
each tank.
Temperature -Corrected Data
Each probe contains a built-in
thermistor sensor to measure fuel
temperature. So, Leak Detect data
provided by Tank Monitor 2 is
corrected for temperature variations.
Two -Way Communications
TheTank Monitor 2 console is equipped
to send and receive data to streamline
your operation. Tank Monitor 2 can
send data to a Gilbarco POS system
on-site, or off-site to your headquarters.
In addition, Tank Monitor 2 can
trigger two alarms in the event of an
unexplained foss of product (such as
theft or suspected leak), high water, or
low fuel inventory.
When in auto -transmit message mode,
Early Signs
The gradual loss of inventory, or the
gradual build-up of water in your
tanks can be the first signs of a leak.
Tank Monitor 2 can help you identify
these signs in the earliest stages.
Thermistor sensor
Easy-to-use
button operation
Key -controlled
operating modes
Three -stage filter
these signals can be
sent off-site through
the RS -232C port.
The RS -232C interface
also enables Tank
Monitor 2 to receive
programming from
your headquarters as
well as data from
external tank
monitoring devices.
Emergency Generator
Applications
A special Tank Monitor 2 model is
available for emergency generator
applications. This model runs a
continuous leak test during normal
operation, when the generator is not
in use. If the generator is activated,
. Tank Monitor 2 stops the leak test and
documents the date and time that the
generator started. Stop and start
messages, inventory reports, and leak
test reports are stored in memory for
retrieval through the internal printer or
via the RS -232C communications
interface.
