3) The extractable(discharge head,column,and motor assembly)0-ring(s)are leaking.
a) Tum the electrical power supply off at the load center. Lock out and tag the electrical power supply to the
STP/IST.
b) Disengage the Wire Connector by turning the 1/2" (3/4" hex) bolt counterclockwise (see Figure 3). When
disconnected, lift and swing the extractable portion of the assembly out of the way(see Service Bulletin SB002
for details). Remove the two 3/8"(9/16"hex)bolts from the extractable portion of the manifold.
c) Remove the extractable part of the pump.
Note: Blows from hard surfaces can damage the Pump Motor Assembly (PMA) shell, so use care when removing
and installing it.
d) Inspect the extractable O-rings and clean or replace them as needed(see Figure 1).
Note: If a leaking O-ring is causing the tank level to increase, it will usually be the lower extractable O-ring.
e) Return the extractable portion to the manifold (pump head) and secure it by first tightening the Wire
Connector and then tightening the two remaining 3/8"bolts. Make sure the Wire Connector O-ring is in place
before reinstalling it.
f) Tum the STP/IST's power back on at the electrical supply box and check the STP/IST for leaks by energizing
the dispenser.
Manifold Discharge Head
3/8" Plug
Syphon Jet
Upper Extractable 0—rings
Syphon Port
Lower Extractable 0—ring
Tank Port
Figure 1
Wire Connector 1/2" Bolt (3/4" Hex)
L seO
O-Ring
yf,
,oma
3/8" Plug
Air should not pass through the Syphon Jet from this direction. 3/8" Balt (9/15" Hex)
Figure 2 Figure 3
Please contact Technical Support if we may be of any assistance.
Franklin Fueling Systems•3760 Marsh Rd. •Madison WI 53718 USA
Tel: +1 608 838 8786•800 225 9787•Fax: +1 608 838 6433•www.franklinfueling.com
Page 2 of 2
