Please be advised that the following issue
has been addressed:
Failed to maintain a continuous monitoring system for underground piping when it detects a
leak. The 87 slave STP sump leak detection sensor VR323 failed to go into sensor out mode
when the position level was enabled. Underground piping with secondary containment shall
be equipped & monitored with continuous monitoring system that activates an audible &
visual alarm. The 87 slave STP sump sensor was not operating in a correct manner to detect
a leak. As stated in your inspection report, BP repair and testing vendor Gettler-Ryan replaced the
sensor like -for -like at the UST certification. The sensor tested operable after installation. A copy of
the passing Monitoring Certification test results is attached for your review and records.
It is our policy to address deficiencies, issues of concern, and/or agency requests regarding our retail
facilities immediately. With the submittal of this letter, it is our understanding that the item(s) of alleged
non-compliance has been resolved. If this is not correct, please contact me as soon as possible.
If you have any questions or require additional information, please contact me.
Reg d
Sara amuels
Environmental Compliance Specialist
Enclosure
