Yosemite AveOweca, California <br />�7 '" ' �v <br />Dear Mr. Snavely: <br />October 21, 1994 <br />SC -94-09-1028-02 <br />In accordance with the request of Mr. Le pard Crisp of Crisp Tank Testing (CTT), <br />Geological Audit Services, Inc. (GeoAudi collected soil samples from two underground <br />storage tank (UST) excavations at . Yosemite Avenue in Manteca, California (the <br />site). Tank removal procedures were performed by CTT. A sketch map of the site, showing <br />approximate soil sample locations, is attached. <br />Three 1,000 -gallon UST's were removed from the site on September 16, 1994 (tanks T8, T9 <br />and T10). The tanks were used to store motor oil. One soil sample was collected from <br />beneath the north and south ends of each tank. Each sample was collected from a depth of <br />11 feet. One soil sample (SP -1) was collected from the stockpiled soil. Each sample was <br />transported under chain -of -custody to Alpha Analytical Laboratories (AAL) in Ukiah, <br />California. Each samples was analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH as diesel and <br />motor oil) and volatile aromatics (BTE&X), in accordance with the appropriate EPA <br />methods. The laboratory report and chain -of -custody are attached. <br />On September 20, 1994, one waste oil UST was removed from the site. Two soil samples <br />were collected from beneath the waste oil tank (TK -N and TK -S). The samples were <br />collected from a depth of approximately 16 feet. Two soil samples (SP -1 and SP -2) were also <br />collected from the north and south ends of the stockpiled soil. The samples were <br />transported to AAL and analyzed for TPH as gasoline and diesel, BTE&X, chlorinated <br />hydrocarbons, PCB's and 5 LUFT metals in accordance with the appropriate EPA methods. <br />01 Spectrum Environmental Services • Hydrogey <br />
