POST TANK RINSING PROCEDURE AND INNERTINTG <br />We use a "Hotsy" Portable High Pressure Steam Cleaner that delivers <br />5,000 PSI steam. Along with a cleansing solution known as medium <br />duty-steamoff, supplied by Sierra Chemical in West Sacramento, <br />phone number 371-5943, one (1) gallon Steamoff per 50 gallons <br />water. <br />STEP 1: Disconnect dispensers at Island and drain product back <br />into tank. Remove all product remaining in tank. Insert <br />Steam Cleaning Wand into product Riser at Island and flush <br />lines into tank. Approx. 10 minutes for every 501 piping <br />run. Evacuate Rinsate generated from product lines from <br />tank. <br />STEP 2: Insert Tank Cleaning Wand into Tank Riser at fillend "Tank <br />Cleaning Wand consists of two high pressure nozzles <br />mounted on a wheel at the end of the Wand and rotate 360 <br />degrees in all directions. Nozzles are propelled by a <br />small air motor at the top of the Wand and has a Drive <br />Rod to the Planetary Gear Cluster which controls the <br />Nozzles." <br />Start Boiler and Pressure Unit, deliver approximately 30 <br />gallons of Rinsate for every 5000 gallons tank capacity <br />three times. Each time between which California Oil <br />Recycler or Refinery Services will remove the product <br />"Rinsate" generated to achieve a true triple rinse. <br />Rinsate to be disposed and manifested as Hazardous Waste. <br />STEP 3: Two and one half to three hours prior to tank removal <br />20 lbs. of solid Carbon Dioxide or "Dry Ice" will be <br />introduced into tank cavity for every 1000 gallon tank <br />capacity. <br />
