Shell Service Station Located at 341 E.Main Street,Ripon, California <br /> A &S Job#SH9406 <br /> Dear Mr. McClellon, <br /> The following items are in response to your plan check comments dated 3/4/96 for the <br /> proposed tank installation at the location mentioned above: <br /> Item#1 <br /> COMMENT: Prior to installation the tanks shall undergo a pneumatic test that follows the <br /> manufacturer's guide lines for testing. <br /> RESPONSE: Prior to installation the tanks will undergo a pneumatic test that follows the <br /> manufacturer's guide lines for testing. <br /> Item#2 <br /> COMMENTS: Flexible boots are not suitable to be used for secondary containment in any <br /> areas except, for directly under the dispenser,when using a Bravo box type <br /> dispenser pan. Provide an approved method to secondarily contain the piping <br /> without the use of flexible boots. <br /> RESPONSE: Flexible boots are not used as secondary containment in any areas, they are <br /> used as cathodic protection of flexible connectors on piping not requiring <br /> secondary containment. <br />
