Since 1971 <br />Construction, Maintenance & Testing for Fueling <br />California Licensed Contractor No. 304147 <br />This Health & Safety Plan is written to identify potential hazards at the project located at:Escalon <br />Mini Mart 1097 E. Yosemite Escalon, CA. While on this project employees of Franzen -Hill may be <br />subject to the following hazards: <br />Slip/trip hazard: Wear steel toe shoes and keep work areas clean and clear of debris or <br />other objects such as parts or tools. If any liquids are spilled apply <br />absorbent pads and clean up the area immediately <br />Eye: Wear safety glasses at all times <br />Vehicle or equipment: While working around a fueling facility you are at risk of a vehicle or other <br />equipment moving into open manways or colliding with the personnel <br />while working. Wear safety vests at all times. Set up cones, barricades or <br />safety tape as necessary to keep your work area safe. <br />Fuel or chemical: While working around a fueling facility you will come in contact with fuels <br />or chemicals that can pose a corrosive hazard, explosive hazard, cause <br />irritation to your skin and eyes, or damage your lungs or liver. Make sure <br />when working around fuel or chemicals that you check the LEL (lower <br />explosive level), use non sparking tools while working, have a fire <br />extinguisher available within the work area at all times, wear chemical <br />resistant gloves, chemical resistant suit, eye protection, chemical <br />resistant shoes and a respirator as necessary. If any liquids are spilled, <br />apply absorbent pads and clean up the area immediately. In the event <br />you come in contact with fuel or chemicals refer to your MSDS sheets for <br />the proper action and notify your supervisor immediately. <br />Hearing: Have hearing protection available at all times <br />- - Electricity: With electricity there is a shock hazard. Electricity is also an ignition - <br />source. Make sure the electricity is turned off (Lock out -Tag out) on any <br />equipment that is being serviced or replaced. Do not have any source of <br />ignition within the hazardous area at any time. All electrical must be <br />explosion proof within the hazardous area. See the attached Electrical <br />Hazards pages. <br />
