r <br /> ACQ #: !1195 <br /> Spill Response Plan <br /> For Minor Releases.- <br /> If <br /> eleases:If the release is less than one gallon and service station personnel can contain the release immediately (and the <br /> release does not leave the site or enter any waterway), do the following: <br /> 1. Turn off the source of the spill. (i.e.turn off dispensers, pump,etc.) <br /> 2. Contain with absorbent material,making sure that the release does not leave the site or enter any <br /> drains. <br /> 3. Clean up released material with absorbent material. <br /> 4. Placed used absorbent material into an approved container for such materials. <br /> 5. For proper disposal of used absorbent,the dealer or designated employee will contact a licensed <br /> waste hauler to dispose of the material in accordance with all applicable federal,state and local <br /> regulations. <br /> For Major Releases or breach in secondary containment <br /> If the release is greater than 1 gallon, or threatens to leave the site or enter a waterway, or there Is an injury to a <br /> person,do the following: <br /> 1. Turn off the source of the spill. (i.e.turn off dispensers, pump,etc.) <br /> 2. Evacuate customers,asking them to leave by foot. <br /> 3. Call the Fire Department. 9 1 1 <br /> 4. All employees evacuate the premises. <br /> 5. Employees are to meet at a designated emergency assembly area. <br /> 6. Station dealer or manager to account for employees and any known customersat meeting place <br /> 7. Dealer or manager should remain in the vicinity to provide Information to the fire department,etc. <br /> 8. Notify: <br /> Regional Environmental Compliance Specialist <br /> Maintenance : TMC Service-1-800-726-2312 <br /> 9. Attempt to contain with absorbent material,attempting to prevent the release from leaving the site <br /> or entering any drains. <br /> 10. In California,call the Office of Emergency Services at 1 (800)852-7550. <br /> 11. The secondary containment will be cleaned up within 30 days. Circle K.
