Qi Part II Continued I& E. Tank Dimensions (Refer to Xerxes literature on gallonage). 1. Tank shall have nominal capacity of—gallons. 2. Tank shall have nominal outside diameter of—feet. 3. Tank shall have approximate overall length of —feet. 2.02 Accessories A. Optional anchor straps—Provide FRP anchor straps as man- ufactured by tank manufacturer. Number and location of straps shall be specified in current literature by tank manufacturer. Each strap shall be capable of withstanding the buoyancy load for tank diameter as shown. 40– 4,200 lbs. 80-25,000 lbs. 120-26,000 lbs. 60-18,000 lbs. 100-32,000 lbs. B. Manways 1. All manways to be flanged and 22" I.D. complete with U.L. listed gaskets, bolts and covers. (30" and 36" 1. D. manways are also available). 2. Location as shown on drawings. 3. Optional manway extension tubes shall be FRP and 24" long for manways shown on drawings. 4. Each steel manway cover shall have three -4" NPT fittings welded in place. C. Fill Tubes 1. Optional tubes shall be FRP and factory installed by manufacturer. 2. Location as shown on drawing. 3. Tubes shall be 4" diameter with 6" steel fitting and a 6" x 4" double tapped reducer bushing. D. Gauge Plates—Shall be installed under each fitting. E. Heating Coils 1. Optional heating coils shall be installed in a separate 22" manway and shall be standard item supplied by tank manufacturer. 2. Location as shown on drawings. F. Ladders—Shall be standard ladder as supplied by tank manufacturer. G. NPT Threaded Fittings. 1. All threaded fittings shall be a material of construction con- sistent with the requirements of the U. L. label. 2. All standard thread fittings shall be half couplings and shall be 4" in diameter. Reducers are to be used for smaller sizes where shown and provided by contractor. 3. Sizes Standard Fill 4" Gauge 4" Inlet 4" Outlet 4" Vent 4" Other Sizes 4. Suction :Line—Shall be installed by contractor on site. Pipes shall terminate a minimum of 4" from bottom of tank. For further information contact your Distributor or Representative below ... Tank shall have one or two test monitor fittings each con- sisting of a 4" NPT fitting on the secondary tank. 2. Tank shall have two monitor fittings, one near each end of the tank. Tanks less than 300 gallon capacity shall have one 1k, monitor fitting. Part III Execution 3.01, 3.02 Installation and Testing Tanks shall be tested and installed according to current Double Wall installation instructions provided with the tank. (Refer to current publi- cation and include as part of specification.) M M Xerxes Corporation warrants that our underground storage tanks, if used in accordance with our specifications and installed according to our published installation instructions: 1. Will not fail for a period of thirty (30) years from date of orig- inal purchase due to external corrosion. 2. Will not fail for a period of thirty (30) years from date of orig- inal purchase due to internal corrosion, provided the tank is used solely with or without tank water bottoms for gasoline, gasohol (90% gasoline/10% ethanol mixture), 90.5% gas- oline and 9.5% Oxinol-50" (4.75% methanol and 4.75% GTBA mixture); DuPont EPA waiver (gasoline with 5% methanol and a minimum of 2.5%cosolvent—the blend may contain a maximum concentration of up to 3.7 weight per- cent oxygen in the final fuel); MTBE (methyl tertiary butyl ether)—gasoline with up to 209/6, by volume, of MTBE; jet fuel; av-gas; kerosene; diesel fuel; motor oil; or potable water at ambient underground temperatures; or used for fuel oil at temperatures not to exceed 150°F. 3. Will not fail for a period of thirty (30) years from date of orig- inal purchase due to structural failure (defined as breaking or collapse) provided the installation is performed and vali- dated by a qualified installation contractor and the tank is used as stated above. 4. Will meet our published specifications and will be free from material defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year following date of original delivery by us. If any tank(s) is to be removed from an installation, moved to another location and is intended for active service at a new location, the tank(s) must be recertified by Xerxes in order to maintain the warranty as orig- inally extended. Xerxes Corporation's liability under this warranty shall be limited to, at our option, (a) repair of the defective tank, (b) delivery of a replace- ment tank to the point of original delivery, or (c) refund of the original purchase price, and we shall not be liable for any labor, other installa- tion costs, indirect of consequential damages or other damages in connection with such tanks.
