The optional reser-
voir sensor, supplied by Owens-
Corning, is designed to automatica!ly
vent the monitoring cavity.
b) Liquid sensors -
when cavity monitors which detec: the
presence of a liquid are used, the cavity
between the inner and outer tank may
be either vented to the atmosphere or
sealtad.
c) Vacuum monitoring -
when interstitial vacuum monitoring is
used, the rnaxirrum vacuum is 5 psi.
d) Positive air pressure
monitoring --
whan positive air pressure interstitial
monitoring is used, the maximum air
pressure is 3 psi.
e) Gasoline vapor sensors --
when gasoline vapor sensors are used,
the cavity between the inner and outer
tank may be either vented to the
atmosphere or sealed.
Standard Tank Notes
1. Standard pipe fittings to the primary
tank are 4' NPT malt couplings. All tanks
include one manway with, at least,
three fittings to the primary tank locat-
ed in the manway cover. All other pri-
mary tank fittings are mounted on the
tank. Additional manways and tank fit-
tings are availab!e on made -m -order
tanks.
2. Tank bottom deflector plates are
standard under every manway and
fitting.
(0n7: 009
3. All double-wall tanks include a
Fiberglas reservoir, used for leak mcni.
coring, integrally bonded to the tank toy
The reservoir includes one 4' NPT half
coupling fitting (6' NPT fittings for 10
diameter tanks) mounted on the top of
the reservoir, allowing access to the
cavity between the inner and outer tar.,
walls.
4. In addition to the monitoring fittinc
located in the Fiberglas reservoir, tanks
6,000 gallon capacity and larger'
include one additional monitoring fitting
(4' NPT) located at the tank top. Only
the 4' monitoring fitting located at the
end of the tank will accommodate liquic
sensors. If a reservoir is located at the
end of the tank, the fitting on the rese-•
vcir will accommodate liquid sensors.
*Est -W 'er 8' 04MO sr 6.00o ono 5.000 93Ien -444-ti
tanks and 10' 6ameter x.000 94000 eaoadte treks
' tneh,drr 1111mg n r.owpas resa.•o• C^+r t•s-'emm:rq '.Ung Ieutr: ac
the red of Ina 4w w.a a::'+wnOrals tpwd sensors, 1f a reNM10 4 'Oea:
44:1 1M Mb of IM ,a., I" brnrg cn a ,oOorW./ +• I accornmodma a 641
Bonsor.
*The 6 OCO '-WT-',p4 If IQ •a s:endara 41 M1. non p4 Want any.
