Box 2009 <br />Stockton, CA 95201 <br />Re: vadose Monitoring Systems for Quik Stop Stores <br />Dear Ms. Cotulla: <br />ENVIROMENTAL HEALTH <br />PERMIT/SERVICES <br />On Wednesday February 4, 1987 I met with Harlin Knoll to discuss the pro- <br />posed installation of continuous vadose zone monitoring systems at two <br />Quik Stop Markets in San Joaquin County. <br />I have enclosed the following items to assist you in the application <br />process for a vadose zone monitoring system at each store: <br />--A site diagram of each store showing location of the underground <br />storage tanks and proposed location of vadose wells necessary for <br />compliance with the state guidelines <br />--A diagram illustrating construction design of a typical vadose well <br />to be installed in the tank backfill <br />--A technical bulletin describing the USI continuous vadose monitor- <br />ing system that Exceltech proposes to install at each Quik Stop site. <br />--Completed application for permit to install vadose zone wells at <br />each store including appropriate fees <br />
