File No. 1817-9 28 December 1987 INTRODUCTION Anderson Geotechnical Consultants has been retained by the office of the State Architect to prepare a Leak Detection Plan for all underground fuel storage tanks at state-owned facilities located within a 16 county region of central California. The counties located within this region (OSA Region III) are Alpine, Amador, Colusa, Calaveras, El Dorado, Nevada, Mariposa, Merced, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Sacramento, Placer, Yolo, Solano, Yuba, and Tuolomne. Our investigation has consisted of performing site visits to each of the involved facilities and collecting information required to recommend an appropriate Leak Detection plan for the tanks at each facility. SCOPE This package contains information specific to the tank(s) located at: Stockton Army Aviation Support Facility Department of the Military 2000 Stimson Road Stockton CA 95206 Additionally, it contains a description of the Monitoring Alternatives, as specified in the Underground Storage Tank Regulations, that may be appropriate for use at this facility. We have noted which Monitoring Alternative we feel would be most applicable for use at this facility. We would appreciate your review of the Monitoring Alternatives and information contained in this package. If you agree with our preferred Monitoring Alternative, please indicate so on the enclosed sign -off sheet. GROUNDWATER INFORMATION The facility is located in the San Joaquin Valley groundwater basin. Groundwater in this area is and will be used in the future for multiple beneficial uses including domestic, industrial, or agricultural. There is one groundwater well located approximately 150 yards northwest of the facility. We are not aware of any other groundwater wells within .5 miles of the facility. The local groundwater table elevation and gradient are not known. Groundwater elevation varies with time of year,
