The Dailey DJECT I* System... a unique
concept in early detection, warning and con-
trol of pinhole leaks in oil and gas produc-
tion systems. When installed at critical points
such as chokes, valves, ells, or tees, the DJECT
I device acts as a continuous monitoring sys-
tem, reacting instantly to pinhole leaks. It can
be set up to sound an alarm and/or shut in the
well reducing the risk of danger to people,
equipment and the environment.
The DJECT I device is a simple but ingenious
product that encapsulates critical components
subject to abrasion and corrosion with an air-
tight shell, using leakage from within the
encapsulated component to activate an auto-
matic warning/control system. Since the DJECT
I system reacts to pressure increases within its
Ask shell of as little as 1.5 psi (0.11 kg/cm2), it responds
A 9111 to minute leaks virtually instantly.
The Dailey DJECT I System ... a method
for detecting pinhole leaks before they
become major problems.
• Reduced risk of injury, fire, equipment loss
and environmental pollution
*Reduced risk of production loss through
leakage
0 Production rates can be increased safely in
sand condition wells
The DJECT I system is ideally suited for iso-
lated production platforms where equipment is
subject to abrasion and corrosion due to sand,
hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide and water, or
the stress of high production rates. In many
cases, by the time conventional methods detect
such leaks, they have already grown into
potentially disastrous failures.
The Dailey DJECT I system... a new direction
in leak detection. Dailey Petroleum Services
Corp. provides products and services for the
petroleum industry. The introduction of the
DJECT I system continues Dailey Petroleum
Services Corp.'s directions into new markets.
An example of cavitation in
a choke, resulting from
abrasion and corrosion.
n
The neoprene rubber sta-
bilizer rings are cut to the
QD. of the component
being encapsulated. The
rings are split so they can
be slipped onto the pipe.
After adhesive Is applied
to the rings, they are re-
joined and cemented in
place on the pipe.
The neoprene relief disc
is installed, and the as-
sembly bolts are tight-
ened.
